Song of Sheba

The country I am from: Sulfurous springs acid

pools steaming fissures at the lip

of salt mountains I belong

to the people of the night

& war & music & all that tried to

dejewel us

divide us

I carry no wisdom in my bones only a love so heavy

& perfect dark

it could easily pass for mourning

Poems in passage
